Backstage styling
Fashion Week Backstage covered three runway shows for an independent American fashion label at New York Fashion Week, styling 40 models across a three-day programme. Verneto was appointed in 2023 to lead backstage skin prep, colour touch-ups, and nail finishing, from initial hair and makeup direction meetings through to the final show.
The brief called for calm, even skin under harsh backstage lighting, quick-turnaround colour touch-ups between three consecutive shows, and consistent nail finishing that could be repeated exactly across every show run.

Backstage coordination
The scale of the brief demanded a workspace that worked hard under pressure. Station layout, product staging, and model call sheets were planned in advance to keep the backstage flow moving cleanly between looks.

Working with the creative director
The plan was developed alongside the label's creative director and hair and makeup lead through fittings and a full rehearsal, treating skin, colour, and nails as one coordinated show concept.
